in the midst of trying/learning something new i remind myself that everything i know and feel comfortable with now was once foreign 

i’d appreciate owning a false sense of confidence that i truly can do anything, unfortunately i’ve seen and had far too many disappointments to know better

this doesn’t stop me from trying; it keeps me grounded

but perhaps it’s time fly again
